The Pittsburgh Pirates Monday agreed to terms with left-handed pitcher Wilfredo Ledezma on a minor
league contract with an invitation to Spring Training.
The 28-year-old Ledezma was a member of Washington's 2009 Opening Day roster, and made five relief appearances before being designated for assignment on April 20.
Ledezma also made 18 relief appearances for Syracuse (Nationals' AAA), where he went 0-2 with one save and a 4.19 ERA in 18 relief appearances before being released on July 4.

White Sox Agree To Terms With Vizquel
The White Sox have agreed to terms with shortstop Omar Vizquel on a one-year, $1.375 million deal.
Vizquel, who will turn 43 in April, will be a reserve infielder.
A's Invite McPherson To Spring Training
The Athletics have signed free-agent third baseman Dallas McPherson to a minor league contract.
McPherson, who is invited to spring training, will compete for a starting job in Oakland. The A's used Adam Kennedy, Bobby Crosby and Jack Hannahan at third in 2009.
The 29-year-old once ranked among the game's top prospects, but he missed the entire 2007 and 2009 seasons with back issues.
Cubs Reach Agreement With John Grabow
The Cubs and left-hander reliever John Grabow have agreed in principle to a two-year deal, team sources said Thursday.
After being acquired from Pittsburgh with Tom Gorzelanny in the deal that sent Kevin Hart to the Pirates, Grabow posted a 3.24 ERA in 30 appearances, and set a career high with 75 games with both the Pirates and Cubs.
Colorado Gives Tracy Three-Year Deal
The Rockies have rewarded Jim Tracy with a new three-year contract.
Colorado announced the deal on Wednesday, less than an hour after Tracy was named the National League Manager of the Year.
The team also says they will bring back their entire coaching staff.
Phillies Pick Up $9M Option On Cliff Lee
The Phillies announced their first big move of the offseason on Friday when they picked up left-hander Cliff Lee's $9 million club option.
Lee went 7-4 with a 3.39 ERA in 12 regular-season starts for the Phillies, who acquired him and outfielder Ben Francisco on July 29 from the Cleveland Indians for prospects Jason Knapp, Carlos Carrasco, Jason Donald and Lou Marson. Lee also went 4-0 with a 1.56 ERA in five postseason starts as he led the Phillies to the World Series.
Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. said the team had spoken with Lee's agent a couple times during the postseason, and said it would consider thinking about a contract extension for Lee.
"That said, we have some time on that," Amaro said.
